Pengaruh Media Animasi Dalam Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning Terhadap Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar Siswa di Kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Toraja Utara

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh media animasi dalam Discovery Learning terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik di kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Toraja Utara tahun pelajaran 2021/2022 pada materi koloid. Desain penelitian adalah posttest only control group design terhadap sampel yang digunakan secara random sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Toraja Utara yang terdiri dari enam kelas, sedangkan sampelnya adalah kelas XI IPA 2 sesi A sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 2 sesi B sebagai kelompok kontrol. Variabel bebas adalah media animasi dalam Discovery Learning dan tanpa media animasi dalam Discovery Learning. Variabel bebasnya adalah motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi koloid. Pengambilan data diperoleh melalui angket motivasi dan pemberian tes hasil belajar sebanyak 25 soal pilihan ganda. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif menyatakan rata-rata nilai motivasi belajar peserta didik kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol yaitu 79,83 dan 70,25. Rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol yaitu 75,50 dan 67,78. Hasil analisis statistik inferensial menunjukkan bahwa kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol berasal dari populasi homogen dan terdistribusi normal. Uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan uji t dimana nilai α = 0,05 dan diperoleh thitung> ttabel pada motivasi belajar (7,79 > 2,03) dan hasil belajar (2,43 > 2,03) peserta didik. Hasil analisis data dari pengujian hipotesis menyatakan terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media animasi terhadap motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar peserta didik di kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Toraja Utara pada materi pokok sistem koloid.

ABSTRACT
This research aims to determine the effect of using animation media on the Discovery Learning model on the learning motivation and lerning outcomes of class XI IPA students at SMA Negeri 1 Toraja Utara in the 2021/2022 academic year on subject of matter of colloidal system. The research design was a posttest only control group design against a sample that was determined by random sampling. The research population was students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Toraja Utara which consisted of six classes, while the samples were class XI IPA 2 group A as experimental group and XI IPA 2 group B as control group. The independent variable is the use of animation media on the Discovery Learning model and the Discovery Learning model without animation media, while the dependent variable is the student’s learning motivation and learning outcomes from the subject metter of colloid system. Data retrieval is done by giving a motivation questionnaire and test of learning outcomes as many 25 question with five answer choices. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that average learning motivation of the experimental group is 79,83 and 20,25 on the control group. Learning outcomes average of experimental group is 75,50 and 68,78 on the control group. The results of inferential statistical analysis of student’s learning motivation and learning outcomes showed that the experimental group and control group data came from a homogeneous population dan normally distributed so that the hypothesis test use was the t test with α = 0,05. Obtained tcount > ttable at the learning motivation (7,79 > 2,03) and learning outcomes (2,43 > 2,03). Based on these data, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using animation media on the Discovery Learning model on the learning motivation and learning outcomes of students in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Toraja Utara on the subject matter of colloid system.
