Pengaruh Media Animasi Dalam Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning Terhadap Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar Siswa di Kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Toraja Utara

Abstract
ABSTRACT
This research aims to determine the effect of using animation media on the Discovery Learning model on the learning motivation and lerning outcomes of class XI IPA students at SMA Negeri 1 Toraja Utara in the 2021/2022 academic year on subject of matter of colloidal system. The research design was a posttest only control group design against a sample that was determined by random sampling. The research population was students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Toraja Utara which consisted of six classes, while the samples were class XI IPA 2 group A as experimental group and XI IPA 2 group B as control group. The independent variable is the use of animation media on the Discovery Learning model and the Discovery Learning model without animation media, while the dependent variable is the student’s learning motivation and learning outcomes from the subject metter of colloid system. Data retrieval is done by giving a motivation questionnaire and test of learning outcomes as many 25 question with five answer choices. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that average learning motivation of the experimental group is 79,83 and 20,25 on the control group. Learning outcomes average of experimental group is 75,50 and 68,78 on the control group. The results of inferential statistical analysis of student’s learning motivation and learning outcomes showed that the experimental group and control group data came from a homogeneous population dan normally distributed so that the hypothesis test use was the t test with α = 0,05. Obtained tcount > ttable at the learning motivation (7,79 > 2,03) and learning outcomes (2,43 > 2,03). Based on these data, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using animation media on the Discovery Learning model on the learning motivation and learning outcomes of students in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Toraja Utara on the subject matter of colloid system.
