Abstract
ABSTRACT
This quasi-experimental research aims to determine the effect of using live worksheets on the discovery learning model on the learning outcomes of class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 6 Bone in the 2020/2021 academic year on the subject matter of acid-base solutions. The research design was a posttest only control group design against a sample that was determined by random sampling. The research population was students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 6 Bone which consisted of six classes, while the samples were class XI MIPA 1 as the experimental group and XI MIPA 2 as the control group. The independent variable is the use of live worksheets on the discovery learning model and the discovery learning model without the live worksheets media, while the dependent variable is the student's learning outcomes from the subject matter of acid-base solutions. Data retrieval is done by giving a test of learning outcomes as many as 25 questions with five answer choices. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the average learning outcome of the experimental group was 81.94 which was higher than the control group, which was 72.94. The results of inferential statistical analysis of student learning outcomes data show that the experimental group and control group data came from a homogeneous population but not normally distributed so that the hypothesis test used was the Mann-Whitney test with = 0.05 and obtained Zcount > Ztable (2 ,67 > 1.64). Based on these data, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using live worksheets media on the discovery learning model on the learning outcomes of students in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 6 Bone on the subject matter of acid-base solutions.
