Abstract
This study is quasi experiment research that aimed to know the effect of Structure Exercise Method (SEM) on Problem Based Learning (PBL) model toward student’s problem solving skill of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Sengkang. The independent variable in this experiment was Structure Exercise Method (SEM) on Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and the dependent variable was student’s problem solving skill on reaction rate subject matter. The population was class XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Sengkang consisted of 6 classes with 176 students. Taking technique of sample was random sampling. The sample of this research consisted of two classes, namely class XI IPA2 as a experiment class with 30 students and class XI IPA3 as a control class with 31 students. The data of the research were gathered by testing the students’ problem solving skill on reaction rate subject matter for posttest which were analyzed by using t-test. Results of inferential statistical analysis were tcalculated =2.74 higher than t(0,05;59)=1,67. Conclude that Structure Exercise Method (SEM) on Problem Based Learning (PBL) model gives effected toward student’s problem solving skill of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Sengkang on reaction rate subject matter.
