Abstract

Abstract: Low literacy ability of science and creativity of students is one of essential issues in facing the challenges of the 21st century. Therefore, an appropriate learning model is needed in preparing students in mastering the two aspects. One of the alternative model is PjBL (Project Based Learning). The model is already in line with 2013 curriculum. In order to provide learning experience to students aligned with what the business need in 21st century, the PjBL model integrated STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in learning is prepared. Besides able to improve literacy ability of science and creativity, this model is also able to improve students learning result. The study aims at examining the influence of the implementation of PjBL STEM model on the improvement of science literacy, creativity, and learning result of students. The study was quasi-experiment with non-equivalent pre- test post-test control group design. The population of the study was grade X at SMAN 11 in Sinjai. The samples chosen were class MIA 2 as the experiment class and class MIA 1 as the control class selected by employing purposive sampling technique. The result of the study reveals that value of experiment class > value of control class. After conducting paired sampte t-test, it is discovered the significance 0.000 ≤ α = 0.05, so the conclusion is there is influence of the implementation of PjBL integrated STEM learning model on the improvement of science literacy, creativity, and learning result of students. This model is effective to be applied on pollution based on learning result and a very positive response from the students.
