Kontribusi Pelaksanaan Praktik Industri Terhadap Kesiapan Kerja Mahasiswa

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kontribusi pelaksanaan praktik industri terhadap kesiapan kerja mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan kausal-komparatif. Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Informatika dan Komputer (PTIK) yang telah melaksanakan Praktik Industri (PI) menjadi populasi dalam penelitian ini, dengan jumlah sampel 115 mahasiswa, ditentukan dengan teknik proporsional random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara pelaksanaan praktik industri terhadap kesiapan kerja mahasiswa pada program studi PTIK dengan kontribusi 44,6%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan praktik industri dalam mengembangkan kompetensi dan pengetahuan mahasiswa untuk memenuhi standar yang dibutuhkan dunia kerja dapat dicapai. Oleh karena itu, PTIK UNM, pemerintah, dan Dunia Usaha / Dunia Industri (DUDI) harus mengoptimalkan pelaksanaan praktik industri agar kesiapan kerja mahasiswa terus meningkat.
