Abstract


Mindfulness is a state which the awareness and attention of the individual increases. The increaseness comes from focusing on the present experience in a non-judgmental and accepting manner. This study aims to examine the effect of mindfulness in reducing employees’s work stress at UPT Penilaian Potensi dan Kompetensi Badan Kepegawaian Daerah Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. The participants were 3 men and 10 women (N=13). The  One Group Pre-Post Design Method were used in this study with Perceived Stress Scale as the instrument. Data were analyzed using Paired t-Test. The research of this study showed that mindfulness has significantly contributed to decreases the employees’s work stress with Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05.
