Abstract


This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and anxiety inmates in the Class I Penitentiary Semarang. This research design uses a qualitative approach. The sampling technique used was the saturated sampling technique. This saturated sampling technique determines the sample according to the existing population if the population is relatively small or less than 30 people (Sugiyono, 2017). Based on the results of data analysis using correlation technique, Spearman's rho rxy = -0.660 with 0.000 which means it is smaller than 0.05 (p < 0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant negative relationship between family support and the anxiety of prisoners in the Class I Penitentiary Semarang.
