PENGELOLAAN TAMAN BACA MASYARAKAT MELALUI (TBM) JPRO LIBRARY DALAM MENINGKATKAN MINAT BACA MASYARAKAT DI KELURAHAN EMPOANG KECAMATAN BINAMU KABUPATEN JENEPONTO

Abstract

A Community Reading Center (TBM) is a place that is deliberately created and managed by the community, individuals, institutions and the government to foster an interest in reading in the community around the reading center and community reading gardens are included in the category of public libraries. The purpose of this study was to find out the management of the Jpro Library Community Reading Park (TBM) for Community Reading Interests in Empoang Village, Binamu District, Jeneponto Regency. The results of the study showed that the manager of the community reading garden increased the public's interest in reading. The role of the manager of the community reading garden in increasing interest in reading has been carried out well, by holding outreach, distributing pamphlets to the community, providing services to visitors and also providing guidance to visitors who have difficulty reading, providing motivators to visitors, and providing facilities and infrastructure to visitors.
