Abstract
This inquiry was classroom action research conducted within two cycles to improve mathematics learning achievement through implementation of the contextual approach. The research subjects were 26 (10 males and 16 females) grade IV students of SD Inpres Antang II Makassar. The improvement of the mathematics learning achievement covered the process and achievement quality. The research results showed that the students’ learning achievement have increased to reach the classical mastery of 100% after implementing the action in two cycles. It was also shown that the students’ attitudes and activeness changed towards a better trend after the implementation of the action in the teaching and learning processes.
