Abstract

This study aims to describe the influence of the Jigsaw Type Cooperative Learning Model on improving student mathematics learning outcomes on cube and block materials. The subjects of this study were 30 eighth-grade students, and it was conducted as classroom action research. The procedure for implementing actions at the research site is divided into two cycles. In the first cycle, 3 meetings are carried out, 2 meetings for learning activities, 1 meeting for learning outcomes tests, and the application of actions with a Jigsaw-type Cooperative learning model. Likewise, the second cycle was carried out in as many as 3 meetings. Data collection is carried out through observation sheets and tests. The results of student mathematics learning, namely the average score of the evaluation test for the final stage of the first cycle was 59.17, then increased to 74.00 in the evaluation test of the final stage of cycle II.
