Abstract


This study aims to determine the effect of promotion and compensation on work motivation which has an impact on employee performance at PT. Mamamakmur Suksesmandiri in Jakarta. The method used is explanatory research with a sample of 123 respondents. The analysis technique uses statistical analysis with regression, correlation, determination and hypothesis testing. The results of this study that job promotion has a significant effect on work motivation by 35.4%, hypothesis testing obtained a significance of 0.000 <0.05. Compensation has a significant effect on work motivation by 38.2%, test   the hypothesis obtained a significance of 0.000 <0.05. Promotion and compensation simultaneously have a significant effect on work motivation by 51.5%, hypothesis testing is obtained a significance of 0.000 <0.05. Work motivation has a significant effect on employee performance by 61.2%, hypothesis testing is obtained a significance of 0.000 <0.05.
