Abstract


This research aims to examine the effect of using cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) learning on the Indonesian reading comprehension skills of class V MI DDI Sakeang students, Maros Regency. This type of research is experimental research with a one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this research were all 19 class V MI DDI Sakeang students, 7 men and 12 women. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling where all members of the population are used as samples. Data collection techniques use observation sheets, performance sheets and documentation. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, the value of the observation results of the implementation of CIRC learning was obtained in the very good category, which means that the implementation of the CIRC learning model has been carried out very well. The average score of students' posttest results is higher than the average score of students' pretest.
