Abstract


This research uses a quantitative research approach and uses a type of quasi experimental design in the form of Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Quantitative research aims to determine the application of the discovery learning model, to determine the application of high-level thinking skills in thematic learning and to determine the influence of the application of the discovery learning model on high-level thinking abilities in class III thematic learning at UPT SPF SDN Paccerakkang, Makassar city. The population in this study were all class III students at UPT SPF SDN Paccerakkang, Makassar City with a total of 51 people and a total sample of 51 people with a sampling technique using purposive sampling with a sampling technique if all members of the population were sampled. Data collection techniques in this research used observation sheets and high order thinking skills (HOTS) tests.
