The Relationship between Using the Action Application (Indonesian Student Competency Assessment) to Increase Elementary School Students' Reading Ability

Abstract


This research utilizes a quantitative approach with a correlational research design and employs a correlation test design aimed at finding the Relationship between the Use of the AKSI Application to Improve Reading Interest and Learning Outcomes of Fourth-Grade Students at UPT SPF Public Elementary School Tidung. The population in this study consists of 26 fourth-grade students at UPT SPF Public Elementary School Tidung. The sampling technique employed is nonprobability sampling, specifically total sampling, with all 26 students included. Data collection methods in this study involve questionnaires, tests, observation sheets, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used include descriptive statistical analysis, validity tests, linearity tests, and correlation tests. The research results indicate that both the learning outcomes (with all 26 out of 26 students answering correctly) and students' reading interest (3.404, categorized as very good) are better when using the AKSI application in their learning process. Learning outcomes correlate significantly with reading interest (-0.328, p<0.05).
