Abstract


This study aims to describe the effect of using a problem-based learning model (Problem Based Learning) in science subjects in grade IV at Tidung State Elementary School, Rappocini District, Makassar City, to determine the description of learning outcomes for grade IV science students after implementing the Problem Based Learning model and to determine the effect the use of problem-based learning models on the learning outcomes of Class IV Science students. The variables studied consisted of the Problem Based Learning Learning Model and students' Science Learning Outcomes. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of experimental research with the Quasi Experiment Methode design. The population in this study were all fourth grade students of SD Negeri Tidung with a total of 40 people and the sample used was 36 students of grade IV SD Negeri Tidung. Using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this study, namely, giving tests in the form of pretest and posttest, observation and documentation.
