Abstract


AThis research is motivated by problems with the level of self-confidence possessed by fifth grade students at 51 Lebang State Elementary School and the low activity of students in each learning session. This study aims to determine the efforts to increase students self-confidence through the application of the time token and cooperative learning model in class V, 51 Lebang State Elementary School. A qualitative approach was used in this study with the type of research in the form of classroom action research (PTK) using the Kemmis and Taggart models using two cycles through the stages of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The research focus consists of a cooperative learning model of the time token arends type and student self-confidence. The location of this research was at 51 Lebang State Elementary School, Cendana District, Enrekang Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The subjects in the study consisted of 21 students in class V for the 2022–2023 school year, and the object was K13 material, theme 9, class V semester II. The data collection techniques in this study consisted of observation, questionnaires, and documentation, while the data analysis techniques used qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
