Implementation of the Pair Check Cooperative Model to Improve Learning Outcomes of Elementary School Students in Learning Science

Abstract


The problem in this research is based on the fact that in class IV SDN 039 Lampa Toa, the learning outcomes of students in science content are low. The formulation of the problem in this study is How is the Application of the Tipe Pair Check Cooperative Learning Model in improving science content learning outcomes in class IV students at SDN 039 Lampa Toa, West Sulawesi? This study aims to describe the application of the pair check learning model in improving science learning outcomes in fourth grade students at SDN 039 Lampa Toa. The focus of this research is the application of the pair check cooperative learning model and student learning outcomes in science content. The approach in this research is a qualitative approach with the type of classroom action research (PTK) which consists of 2 cycles, which include planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in the quality of learning, both in teacher teaching activities and student learning activities as well as student learning outcomes. The results of observations of the teacher's teaching activities and student learning activities in the first cycle of the first meeting were still in the sufficient category and in the second meeting they were in the good category, while in the second cycle there was an increase which was in the good category.
