Application of the Arisan Card Type Cooperative Model to Increase Active Learning in Elementary School Students in Barru District

Abstract


The problem in this research is to increase activeness in learning PPKn for fifth grade students of UPTD SDN 188 Barru. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the cooperative model of the social gathering card type could increase the activity of fifth grade students of UPTD SDN 188 Barru in Civics subjects. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach, with the type of classroom action research (CAR). The research subjects were all 23 students of class V UPTD SDN 188 Barru. Data collection techniques were obtained from teacher and student observation sheets and field notes at the time of observation and conducting research. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive qualitative. The social gathering card type cooperative learning model trains students' ability to answer questions randomly, trains students' mentality and responsibility because learning is done in groups. This can trigger student activity during the learning process, and has been proven by the results of research where the results showed an increase in student activity in cycle I reached 43% sufficient category (C), and in cycle II experienced an increase reaching 64% good category (B). The increase occurred because of improvements in cycle II, namely the teacher paid more attention to students during the learning process and corrected the questions that had been made.
