Application of the Question Read Recite Review (SQ3R) Survey Learning Model to Improve Reading Comprehension Learning Outcomes of Elementary School Students

Abstract


This research is research on the application of the Question Read Review Survey learning model to improving students' reading comprehension results in grade 6 UPTD SDN 188 Barru.  The approach used in this research is qualitative with this type of research, namely classroom action research.  The purpose of this study was to find out the results of applying the Survey Question Read Review learning model to improving the reading comprehension skills of class VI UPTD SDN 188 Barru.  The focus of this research is the application of the Question Read Review Survey learning model to the learning process and learning outcomes of reading comprehension.  This research consisted of 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of 2 meetings.  Data collection techniques used are observation, tests and documentation.  Data were analyzed through 3 stages, namely data reduction, presenting data and drawing conclusions.  Based on research data from observations of students' learning activities and teacher teaching, they have increased in each meeting and have achieved a good category and the results of learning to read comprehension have reached the predetermined criteria of completeness. Therefore the results of research using the Survey Question Read Review learning model can improve learning outcomes in reading abilities in grade 6 UPTD SDN 188 Barru.
