Application of the Student Team Achievement Divisions Cooperative Learning Model to Improve Learning Outcomes of Fourth Grade Students at Elementary Schools in Parepare City

Abstract


The problem in this research is the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of UPTD SD Negeri 34 Parepare who have not reached the specified learning completeness standard. This study aims to improve the process and student learning outcomes by applying the cooperative learning model type Student Team Achievement Divisions Class IV UPTD SD Negeri 34 Parepare. The approach used is a qualitative approach and the type of research is classroom action research (CAR). To determine the percentage level of the process and student learning outcomes, researchers used observation sheets and evaluation tests in each cycle. The subjects in this study were teachers and fourth-grade students of UPTD SD Negeri 34 Parepare in the 2021/2022 academic year, totaling 20 students consisting of 15 boys and 5 girls. The data analysis technique used is qualitative data analysis techniques. The research was carried out in two cycles. In the first cycle, the research results on the learning process were in sufficient qualification (C) and the learning test results were in sufficient qualification (C). Meanwhile, in the second cycle, the research results on the learning process were in good qualification (B) and the learning test results were in good qualification (B). This study concludes that by applying the type of cooperative learning model Student Team Achievement Divisions can improve the learning process and student learning outcomes in grade IV UPTD SD Negeri 34 Parepare.
