The Effect of Utilizing Youtube Media on Accounting Learning Outcomes in Vocational High School Students

Abstract


This study aims to determine the effect of using YouTube media on student learning outcomes in the subject of accounting practice in class XI Accounting at SMK Negeri 1 Gowa. With YouTube media variables and learning outcomes. The population in this study was class XI Accounting with a total of 131 students, while the sample was using the Proportional Random Sampling technique so that a total of 56 students were obtained. Data collection used questionnaires and documentation, data analysis was carried out by instrument testing and hypothesis testing. Based on the results of data analysis performed on the product moment correlation test, a value of 0.79 was obtained which was in the strong category, simple linear regression analysis obtained by YouTube media Y = 89.317 + 0.29X, this means that if the YouTube media variable has increased by one unit, then student learning outcomes increased by 0.29. The coefficient of determination (r2) obtained a value of 0.11 or 11% which means that the YouTube media has an influence on learning outcomes of 11%. In the descriptive analysis, the average percentage of the YouTube media variable indicator was 77.84% in the good category, while student learning outcomes in accounting practice subjects were in the satisfactory category with a score of 91.27 in the satisfactory category. The results of the t-test analysis obtained a significance of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05, meaning that the YouTube media has a significant influence on learning outcomes so that the hypothesis is "accepted"
