Abstract


The problem of this research is the low learning outcomes in the initial reading competence in recognizing letters in children with cerebral palsy in class I. The formulation of the problem of this research is how is the ability to recognize letters in children with cerebral palsy class I through busy book media. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability to recognize letters in children with cerebral palsy class I using busy book media. This research is a descriptive research, namely to describe the ability to recognize letters before and after the use of busy book media in children with cerebral palsy class I. The data collection technique was an action test, while the respondents in this study were children with cerebral palsy class I, totaling 1 person. The data analysis technique is a quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in the value of the category that was initially unable to become a very capable category on the results of the ability to recognize letters in children with cerebral palsy class I. The results in this study showed that the ability to recognize letters in children with cerebral palsy class I could be improved through busy book media.
