Improving the Ability to Recognize the Parts of Plants Through Learning Methods Outside the Classroom for Mentally Disabled Children

Abstract


The problem in this research is that mentally retarded students in class IV at SLBN 1 Makassar have not been able to recognize the parts of a plant as a whole, such as roots, stems, leaves, flowers and fruit correctly. The formulation of the research problem is 1). What is the child's ability to recognize the parts of plants before applying learning methods outside the classroom? 2). What is the child's ability to recognize the parts of plants after applying The purpose of this study is to find out 1).  How is the child's ability to recognize the parts of plants before applying learning methods outside the classroom. 2). How is the child's ability to recognize plant parts after applying learning methods outside the classroom. 3). How to improve learning outcomes after the application of learning methods outside the classroom.. The results of this study indicate that the increase in the ability to recognize plant parts through learning methods outside the classroom in class IV mentally retarded children at SLBN 1 Makassar after the application of learning methods outside the classroom has increased, prior to the application of learning methods outside the classroom to class IV mentally retarded students who Berjulah was only able to name some parts of the plant correctly. Then after applying the learning method outside the classroom, students are able to name the parts of plants correctly
