Application of Articulate Storyline Interactive Multimedia to Improve Listening Skills of Grade 3 Elementary School Students in Makassar City

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to improve story listening skills in class III UPT SPF SD Negeri Mangasa District Rappocini Makassar City with interactive multimedia articulate storyline. The subjects of this class action research were third grade students of UPT SPF SD Negeri Mangasa District Rappocini Makassar City. The data collection techniques used were observation, evaluation tests. This research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle has two meetings. Each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The form of action given is to use articulate storyline media to improve listening skills. The data analysis technique used is quantitative and qualitative descriptive data analysis. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the skills of listening to stories in class III UPT SPF students of Mangasa State Elementary School, Rappocini District, Makassar City after participating in learning by using articulate storyline media have increased in each cycle. This can be seen in the average value of listening skills in cycle I of 54.33 and the percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes of 20%, meaning that it is still in a less than optimal condition. While in cycle II the average value of listening skills in cycle I was 82.33 and the percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes was 80%. This shows a category that has improved well.
