The Relationship between Verbal Bullying and Interpersonal Intelligence of Elementary School Students in Makassar City

Abstract


This research is a quantitative descriptive study that aims (1) to find out the description of verbal bullying with interpersonal intelligence of high-class students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Rappokalling 01 District Tallo Makassar City. (2) to find out the description of the interpersonal intelligence of high grade students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Rappokalling 01 District Tallo Makassar City (3) to find out the relationship between verbal bullying and interpersonal intelligence of high grade students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Rappokalling 01 District Tallo Makassar City. This research is a descriptive quantitative research with a correlational research type that aims to determine the relationship between two or more variables, namely whether there is a relationship between Verbal Bullying and Student Interpersonal Intelligence. The independent variable in this study is verbal bullying, while the dependent variable is interpersonal intelligence. The population in this study were students in grades IV, V, and VI UPT SPF SD Inpres Rappokalling 01 Tallo District Makassar City with a total sample of 61 people. Research data obtained through questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique uses Product Moment Correlation Analysis. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that (1) the description of Verbal Bullying of high grade students is dominant in the medium category. (2) The description of the Interpersonal Intelligence of high grade students is dominant in the medium category. (3) there is a relationship between Verbal Bullying and Interpersonal Intelligence of high-class students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Rappokalling 01, Tallo District, Makassar City.
