The Influence of the Group Investigation (GI) Learning Model on Cooperation Attitudes in Thematic Learning in Elementary School Students

Abstract


The independent variable in this study is the Group Investigation (GI) model, while the dependent variable is the student's cooperative attitude. The population in this study were all fourth grade students of SDN 1 Limbung Putri Kab. Gowa 2 class, while the samples were 15 students from Class IV A as the experimental class and 15 students from class IV B as the control class. The research data were obtained by giving a questionnaire as a pre-non-test and post-non-test. The data analysis technique is using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results of descriptive statistical analysis showed that the influence of the Group Investigation (GI) model at the first meeting was effective and at the second meeting it was very effective .The results of the inferential analysis using the independent sample t-test showed that there were differences in the results of the post-non-test of the experimental and control classes. This shows that the effect of the cooperative attitude of students in the experimental class is better than the control class. Supported by N- gain, the experimental class is better with a N-gain High score than the control group which has a gain Medium Score. So it can be concluded that: (1) the learning process with the Group Investigation (GI) model takes place very effectively, (2) the student test results show that there is an influence of students' cooperative attitude in learning, and (3) there is a significant influence on the Group Investigation model ( GI) on the cooperative attitude of students in class IV Thematic learning at SDN 1 Limbung Putri Kab. Gowa.
