Abstract


Learning mathematics is a sufficient condition to continue education to the next level. Because by learning mathematics, we will learn to reason critically, creatively, and actively. Mathematics learning is a teaching and learning process built by teachers to develop students' creative thinking that can improve students' thinking skills, and can improve the ability to construct new knowledge as an effort to improve good mastery of mathematical material. To achieve the learning objectives of mathematics subjects, a teacher should be able to create conditions and learning situations that enable students to actively form, discover, and develop their knowledge (student centered learning). Then students can form the meaning of the materials/lessons through a learning process and construct it in memory which can be processed and developed further at any time. Students' knowledge or understanding is found, formed, and developed by the students themselves. The process of learning Mathematics needs serious attention and handling. This is important, because the results of research or facts in the field still show that the process of learning mathematics in elementary schools has not shown satisfactory results.
