Application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Cooperative Learning Model to Improve Primary School Student Learning Outcomes in Pinrang Regency

Abstract


The problem in this study is the low learning outcomes of fifth grade students. The problem in this study is how to apply the Teams Games Tournament learning model to improve student learning processes about the colonial era national events in fifth grade students of UPT SD Negeri 83 Pinrang and what is the application of the Teams Games learning model Tournament about national events during the colonial period can improve the learning outcomes of fifth graders at SD Negeri 83 Pinrang. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach and the type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects in this study were students of class V UPT SD Negeri 83 Pinrang for the academic year 2021/2022, totaling 16 students consisting of 8 boys and 8 girls, as well as a teacher. The focus of the research in this study is the focus of the process and the focus of the results by applying the Teams Games Tournament type of cooperative learning model. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data condensation, data presentation and conclusion drawing which are processed qualitatively. Based on the data obtained during the implementation of cycles I and II, the results obtained for the first cycle are in the Enough category (C) and for the second cycle are in the category (B). The conclusion of this study is that the process and student learning outcomes about the colonial era national events in class V UPT SD Negeri 83 Pinrang by applying the Teams Games Tournament type cooperative learning model has increased.
