Application of the Behavior Contract Technique to Reduce Student Academic Procrastination in High Schools in Bulukumba Regency

Abstract


The implementation of simbolik modeling techniques in group guidance is carried out through four meetings. The intervention stage is carried out in the same way as the stages of implementing group guidance services starting from the formation stage, the transition stage, the core activity implementation stage, and termination. At the core activity stage it is divided into five stages based on the steps in implementing simbolik modeling techniques, namely treatment rationalization (providing information), giving examples, practice or training, homework and evaluation. At the time of the posttest, the level of self-confidence of the experimental group students experienced a significant increase in the high category and the control group remained in the low category. Based on data analysis, it is known that there is an increase in students' self-confidence after implementing simbolik modeling techniques in group guidance with a sign.(2-tailed) value smaller than the critical value of 0.005 (0.000 ≤ 0.005), this indicates that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted , besides that the average value of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group (47.60 ≥ 36.80).
