Improving Motivation and Learning Achievement in Calculation of Foreign Exchange Rates Through a Combination of Various Lecture Methods and Role Playing Learning Models

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to find out that the application of a combination of varied lectures and role-playing learning models could increase students' learning motivation in economics subjects for calculating foreign exchange rates for class XI IPS SMA Negeri 14 Gowa. The research was carried out in the even semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. The place of research is SMA Negeri 14 Gowa, while the subjects of this research are students of class XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 14 Gowa. This research is classroom action research. The research was planned in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages of activity, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the study indicate that the better the quality of learning in calculating foreign exchange rates through a combination of varied lectures and role-playing learning models has an impact on increasing students' learning motivation.
