Abstract
This research aims to see the extent of the Tongk-tongke mangrove area management policy carried out by the Sinjai Regency Government in order to improve the standard of living of the surrounding community. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and document collection. The results of the research show that the policy in managing the Tongke-tongke Tourism Area has not been optimally implemented by the local government, although there has been cooperation, but this cooperation has not involved other parties, so it has an impact on the slow improvement of the community's economy, so a policy and cooperation is needed not only by the Government and the Community but also other parties such as the private sector, organizations that care about coastal areas and other organizations
