Abstract


The aim of this research is to develop a HOTS-based learning module for science learning material on locomotion and animal and human locomotion systems for fifth grade elementary school students. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) type ADDIE. The development procedure uses the ADDIE model, namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The data collection techniques used were interviews, questionnaires and tests. The subjects of this research were 19 students in class V of SD Karitas Nandan. The research results state that: (1) the HOTS-based learning module is suitable and developed based on the ADDIE stages. (2) The quality of the module from the validation process from learning experts and material experts obtained an average score of 3.54 out of a maximum score of 4 categorized as "very good". The quality of the HOTS learning module is supported by the average pretest score from 51.57 to 72.48 posttest score, which shows an increase of 41.24%. Thus, it can be concluded that the HOTS-based science learning module is suitable for use in teaching and learning activities and helps students understand the material.
