KOMPETENSI PROFESIONAL GURU MATA PELAJARAN PPKn DALAM MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA DI UPT SMP NEGERI 2 AJANGALE KABUPATEN BONE

Abstract


This study aims to determine (1) what professional competencies PPKn teachers have in improving student learning outcomes at UPT SMP Negeri 2 Ajangale, Bone Regency. (2) What are the efforts of PPKn subject teachers in improving student learning outcomes at UPT SMP Negeri 2 Ajangale, Bone Regency. This type of research is qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive approach. Sources of data obtained from primary data and secondary data by using data collection techniques in the form of observation (observation), interviews and documentation. As well as the data analysis techniques used consist of data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The results of this study concluded that (1) the professional competence of PPKn teachers at UPT SMP Negeri 2 Ajangale, Bone Regency, had been achieved and implemented in accordance with predetermined professional competency indicators. To meet professional competency indicators in improving the quality of education, PPKn teachers professionally develop and understand several indicators of professional competence, namely by mastering the taught Civics learning materials, mastering competency standards (SK) and basic competencies (KD) in the subjects taught according to the syllabus and RPP, and develop Civics subjects creatively using various models or methods, as well as develop professionalism on an ongoing basis by taking reflective actions or actions to review and utilize information and communication technology to develop themselves. (2) Efforts of PPKn subject teachers in improving student learning outcomes at UPT SMP Negeri 2 Ajangale, Bone Regency, namely by increasing educational qualifications to a higher level according to the subjects they teach, exchanging opinions with other fellow Civics teachers. As well as actively participating in seminars and training in the form of MGMP (Subject Teacher Consultation) or KKG (Teacher Working Group), and the reading teacher movement (G2M) held in Bone Regency, to improve reading and teaching literacy as a reference and utilize information and communication technology by good.
