Abstract


This study aims to determine the use of instruments to measure psychological problems and behavior of elementary school students during the COVID-19 pandemic using a strength and difficulties questionnaire (SDQ) for junior high school teachers. The SDQ instrument is a questionnaire given to teachers to measure psychological and behavioral problems of students which includes five dimensions measured, namely prosocial attitudes, emotional problems, behavioral problems, hyperactivity and peer relationships. This study used a limited experiment design, namely to 20 junior high school teachers in Bone District. In this study, training was conducted on the use and analysis of SDQ instruments for junior high school teachers in Bone District. The research instrument used in this study was a questionnaire to measure teacher responses after receiving SDQ training to help emotional and behavioral problems of junior high school students. Data analysis in this study used percentage descriptive analyze to determine the teacher's response after receiving SDQ training.  The results of the use of SDQ can be used as a reference for teachers in helping or responding to students who have problems, especially those related to the smooth learning process at school and then transfer student problems to professionals if there are students who have serious problems who need help services.
