Abstract
The implementation of this Community Service
program was driven by the findings of the field which showed
the low competence of teachers in conducting publications in
scientific journals. This Community Service program aims to
increase partner knowledge and skills in writing scientific
articles and managing scientific journals. Two partner groups
involved in this program, namely: (1) Indonesian Teachers
Association of Maros Regency; and (2) Makassar City
Indonesian Teachers Association. The model of developing
writing skills and governance of scientific journals offered
consists of four stages, namely: (1) workshops to improve
scientific article writing skills; (2) training to improve partner
knowledge and skills in the management of scientific journal
management; (3) guided and sustained writing practice; and
(4) mentoring management and publishing scientific journals.
