Pelatihan Tour Guide bagi Pemuda Karang Taruna

Abstract

The partner of this service program was the youth cadets of Batu Milla Village, Maiwa, Enrekang Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The problems of partner were the lack of understanding of the importance of mastering English speaking skills, the community still lacks knowledge about the Tour Guide and the community still lacks training to become professional Tour Guides. The expected outcome was the community (youth cadets) have an understanding of Tour Guide skills. The approach used in conducting this program consisted of two methods, namely the presentation and practice. The results achieved were the participants (1) have knowledge and understanding about Tour Guide profession, (2) are able to express greetings, introduction, explaining object and closing presentation in English, and (3) around 80% are able to practice the simulation to become a Tour Guide.
