Abstract


Zalacca farmers in Pinrang have promising business opportunities and potential in increasing people's economy. Zalacca yields are always abundant but cannot be managed seriously as a source of economic family. One of them is making sweets, salak syrup and salak pudding. These three types of processed products are of interest to the people of South Sulawesi, especially the people of Kota Pinrang. Moreover, zalacca is one of the local fruits that has the resistance to grow in a variety, not easily wither and die, the tree always bears fruit throughout the year. The harvest of salak fruit has only been sold without processing logs, so the sale value is very low. The consumption of zalacca has a good nutritional effect on body health but the Tonyamang community does not understand it, so it needs a training activity. Therefore, processing zalacca fruit into processed products, can provide added value both in terms of the family economy, also becomes added value to the family's income and creates jobs if managed professionally. This processed zalacca product in the form of zalacca syrup, sweets and pudding is suitable for the people of Tonyamang Village who will have a high market share, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, holidays, and the daily needs of families and guests who come. If this activity is made more active as an entrepreneur with cooperation in the form of mentoring from tertiary institutions, it will create an entrepreneurial product of zalacca processed which will further improve the economic welfare of the people of Tonyamang Village. The expected benefits of this PKM are to increase knowledge and creativity as well as community productivity in cultivating zalacca fruit processing. The types of output are processed zalacca products such as syrup, sweets and quality zalacca puddings
