Abstract


This study aims to see the relationship of ethnic identity and acculturation with cultural adaptation at the first level students of Psychology Faculty at Universitas Negeri Makassar. The population of this study is the students of the Faculty of Psychology UNM, with a total sample of 50 students. This research constitutes of correlative method using acculturation scale and cultural adaptation scale to collect the data. The data collected were then analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The result of the research shows that there is a significant correlation between ethnic identity and acculturation with cultural adaptation at the first level students of Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Negeri Makassar. In addition, from the value of R square found the effective contribution value of 22.1 percent.
