Abstract


The study aims to find out whether there is a comparison of the provision of simple carbohydrates and complex carbohydrates to cardiovascular endurance in SSB Taeng team soccer players? This type of research is Comparative. The population and sample were the soccer players of the Taeng SSB team selected by random sampling with a sample of 5 people given simple carbohydrates (white bread) and 5 people given complex carbohydrates (wheat bread). Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis, normality test and homogeneity test using computer facilities through the SPSS 16 program. Based on the results of descriptive analysis showed that, for comparative data on the administration of simple carbohydrates to cardiovascular endurance before white bread was given the mean value = 40.8040, SD = 2.85, Sum = 204.02, min = 39.09, Max = 45.89, and range = 6.80 for after giving White bread obtained a mean value = 49.8380, SD = 3.65, Sum = 249.19, Min = 44.82, Max = 54.14 and Range = 9.32. Whereas giving complex carbohydrates to cardiovascular endurance before being given whole wheat bread obtained mean value = 42.0920, SD = 3.48, Sum = 210.46, Min = 39.09, Max = 46.25, and range = 7.16 for after wheat bread was obtained mean value = 53.4225, SD = 4.17, Sum = 213.69, Min = 47.69, Max = 57.72, range = 10.03. The results of the research data normality test showed that the initial pre-test p = 0.295 while the final post-test p = 0.998 and for the initial pre-test p control = 0.592 while the final post-test control = 0.758 means that p <0.05, all data variables are normally distributed. The paired t-test results showed that the cardiovascular endurance after giving simple carbohydrates (white bread) the pre-test obtained p = 0.001 and cardiovascular endurance after the administration of complex carbohydrates (wheat bread) the pre-test obtained p = 0.000 means ( p <0.05), which means that there is a significant difference between before giving simple carbohydrates (white bread) and complex carbohydrates (wheat bread) to cardiovascular endurance and after giving simple carbohydrates (white bread) and complex carbohydrates (wheat bread) to cardiovascular endurance on SSB Taeng team soccer players. Thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted so that it can be concluded that, there is a significant effect when giving simple carbohydrates (white bread) and complex carbohydrates (wheat bread) to cardiovascular endurance in SSB Taeng team soccer players.
