Abstract


Abstract – This study aims to analyze the value of the lightning strike density in the Karst Area of Bantimurung Bulusaraung National Park.The data used in this study is real-time data for daily lightning events for 2017-2018 obtained from BMKG Gowa Geophysical Station. From the calculation of the area that has the highest lightning strike density in 2017 is Tompo Bulu District in April, which is 37 strikes per km2 with an area of 29.93 km2 while the areas that have the lowest lightning strike density in 2017 are Cenrana sub-district, Mallawa district and Tellulimpoe district in August and September, with a value of 0 strikes per km2, and the area that has the highest lightning strike density in 2018 is Tompo Bulu District in May, which is 26 strikes per km2, while the lowest lightning strike density in 2018 is Mallawa District and Tellulimpoe District in August and November. ie 0 strokes per km2
