Abstract


Abstract – This study aims to determine the number of earthquakes and earthquake decay based on the magnitude value. The data used in this study are incident data Banggai earthquake 12 April 2019 obtained from the Meteorology and Climatology Agency Geophysics (BMKG) Region IV Makassar includes data on the time of the earthquake, latitude (LS), longitude (BT), depth (<60 km) and magnitude (≥5 SR). Seismicity calculations and decay was performed using the Omori method. The results obtained from Seismicity calculation based on magnitude is 477 number of earthquake events. While for decay, the quake's end time is 38 days. In general you can It is concluded that the Banggai archipelago has a high level of seismic activity and prone to earthquakes, this is evidenced by the high level of earthquake activity.
