Abstract

Abstract: Local science-based learning is the creation of a learning environment and the design of a learning experience that integrates the potential of the region as part of the learning process whereby an integrated local potential is linked to science. Learning is done by linking the concept of animal structure structure and development with local potency which is in Cirebon region. This research is conducted because the students' ability in caring, honesty, cooperation and responsibility with local potential that developed in society is still low. This purpose of this research was to identify, there is any difference in living values (honesty, cooperation, and responsibility) between students learning to use local potential based and local potency-based learning tools in Biology education IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon; how effectiveness improvement of living values (honesty, cooperation, and responsibility) through learning based on local potency of turtle belawa in weak area of brother in Tadris Biology IAIN Syekh Nurjati, research method used in the form of quasi experiment, that is control-group pre-test post-test design. The research instruments used are: questionnaire and observation sheet. The analysis used included normality test, homogeneity test, and different test. The results showed that ) there are differences in the living values of honesty and student cooperation in the third semester of animal structure and development, learning by using local potential learning tools and learning without using local potential based learning. This can be seen from the significance value (p <0,05), that is 0,015(honesty) and 0,03 (cooperation). And there is a difference of responsibility between students learning to use local potential-based learning tools with students studying without such devices with significance levels (p <0.05), ie 0.008. (2) Improving the living values of honesty and cooperation through potency-based biology learning more effectively applied to students of Biology IAIN Sheikh Nurjati Cirebon.

Keywords: learning innovation, local potency of turtle belawa (Amyda cartilaginea), living value.
