Abstract
Abstract. Analysis of the incubation activity of nilem fish eggs in simple containers with different water levels was carried out to determine the hatching time, hatcing rate of eggs and visualization of egg development during the incubation period. This activity was carried out in January-February 2020, using a completely randomized design with five treatment and three replications. Incubation container in the form of a wooden box, inside coated with plastic sheeting, measuring 90 x 60 x 20cm. The water heights in the incubation media that were tested were 16cm, 12cm, 8cm, 4cm and 1.5cm. The eggs that are hatched in each container are 3,500 eggs. ANOVA test results showed that the incubation medium with a water height of 1.5 cm gave the best results, namely the fastest hatching time and the highest hatcing rate. Embryo development during incubation, in the cleavage phase, morula, blastula, gastrula, organogenesis, until hatching into normal larvae can be observed well.
