Abstract

ABSTRACT
Bogor Botanical Gardens (BBG) is an exsitu conservation site for tropical plants. The BBG function is to do research and provide education. Plants from Thallophyta to Spermatophyta can be found in the gardens. The plant collections of BBG are arranged according to their family. The plant collections have complete data, for example: plant origin, scientific name (family, genus, species), date of planting, location of planting, flowering and fruiting time, and plant propagation. The complete collections, planting designs and the completeness of plant data are reasons why BBG can be seen as a natural laboratory for plant biology research and learning resources. There are at least 16 branches of plant biology, morphology, classification, anatomy, ecology, etnobotany, floriculture and phenology. Learning strategy can be done conventionally or online. Key words: Biology, data, education, laboratory, and plant collection
