Abstract


ABSTRACT
 Fasciolosis is a zoonotic parasitic disease, in humans it can cause liver function disorders. Fasciolosis in humans can go through 2 phases, namely the phase I and the chronic phase, with nonspecific symptoms including fever, changes in bowel movements, hepatomegaly and jaundice. Fasciolosis in Indonesia is caused by Trematoda species Fasciola gigantica and generally attacks ruminants. Research to identify Fasciola gigantica in cattle in Maranata village, Sigi district have takes a month. Research design was cross sectional and the method was purposive sampling. the study sample is feces from livestock aged 6 months to 2 years. Samples are collected  and then prepared with the eter formalin sendimentation method. The general purpose of this study is to identify fasciola infection in cattle in Maranata village. The results of the study found fasciolosis infections in cattle in Maranata village were 38.7%. Conclusion one third of the cows examined were faciolosis Suggestions should be monitoring or monitoring regularly for helminthiasis infections in livestock, especially cattle ranchers and human transmission.
