Abstract

Abstract: This research is a development research (Research and Development) which refers to the development of teaching materials in the 4D model. Data collection is carried out as the stages of development of available teaching materials. Define is conducting an initial investigation, analyzing available teaching materials, Design is designing teaching materials and research instruments, develop is conducting validation and revision of guidelines for practicum and Dissaminate is to disseminate the results of the development of practicum guidelines to Lecturers and Students. This research was conducted at Cokroaminoto Palopo University in the VI semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. Data obtained using instruments developed by researchers are then analyzed quantitatively. The results of the validation and trials show that the fermentation technology practicum guidelines meet the criteria for validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The results of the study showed that the practicum guide developed had a total average of 4.22 rating aspects which were valid. The results of the lecturers' response to the practicum guide show that the data is greater than the average value of the practical standard of practicing 95.23%, then the practical guide can be declared practical to use. To see the effectiveness of the Practicum Guide carried out by looking at the calculations of response values, practical activities, report values, and practicum test results which show the value of 100% graduation percentage then overall practicum using the Fermentation Technology practicum guide can be said to be effective.
