But there are difficulties encountered in student learning. This learning difficulties arise not solely come from the students themselves, but it could have resulted from how the presentation of material presented by teachers who do not or attractive enough student interest in learning biology was lacking. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation of teaching styles of teachers and students' interest in learning the learning outcomes biology class X at SMAN 5 Maros. The hypothesis isthere is positive relationships between teaching style and student interest on learning outcomes biology. populasi in this study isthe whole class X MIPA SMAN 5 Maros academic year 2019/2020. Samples were taken of the total population that the entire class X MIPA SMAN 5 Maros academic year 2019/2020. The sampling technique used in this study is proportional random sampling. Data collection techniquethrough questionnaires teaching style guru, Questionnaires interest in learning, and the value of the test results learn. Analysis of data usingProduct moment correlation using SPSS 16. Hypothesis testing using T test, with the provision that if F count> F table means a significant relationship, whereas if obtained f count <f table, then the relationship is not significant. The results of several previous studies, one of the study Lisa Wahyu (2015) with the title "Teaching Skills Teacher Relationships With Interests Student "states thatthere is a positive relationship between teachers' teaching skills with student interest. Where the calculation results obtained with product moment correlation technique is 0.864 which indicates that the relationship between the two variables is positive, then compared with r table number N = 115 and a significance level of 5% that is 0.176 proven results r count larger than rtabel (0.864> 0.176) , Keywords: Teaching Style, Interest in Learning, Learning Outcomes.
