Abstract


Abstract:    This study aims to determine (1) the effect of learning interest on the learning outcomes of students of biology subjects in the State High School in Wajo District (2) the influence of the learning environment on the learning outcomes of students of State High School biology subjects in Wajo District (3) the influence of parental participation on learning outcomes Biology subject in the State High School in Wajo District (4) the influence of interest in learning, the learning environment and the participation of parents together on the learning outcomes of students of biology subjects in the State High School in Wajo District. This type of research is ex-post facto. The population of this study was all high school students in Wajo District. Sampling by means of random sampling area to obtain 374 student samples. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed that (1) the interest in learning had a significant effect on the biology learning outcomes of high school students in Wajo District with a significant level of 0.036. (2) Learning environment has a significant effect on the biology learning outcomes of high school students in Wajo District with a  significant level of 0.031. (3) Parent participation has a significant effect on the biology learning outcomes of high school students in Wajo District with a significant level of 0.013. (4) Interest in learning, learning environment and parental participation have a significant effect on the biology learning outcomes of high school students in Wajo District with a significant level of 0.038.
