Pengembangan Penuntun Praktikum Berbasis Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) pada Materi Biologi Kelas X

Abstract:    The science process skills practical guide is developed based on the absence of special teaching materials in the form of practical guidebooks that are able to facilitate the achievement of learning objectives and give birth to process skills in students. This product development aims to produce a science process skills  based practical guidebook product on biological material that is valid, practical, and effective. This study is a type of Research and Development (R & D) research with reference to the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 stages, namely: (1) Analyze; (2) Design; (3) Development; (4) Implementation; (5) Evaluation. Product evaluation is carried out by two expert validators. This research was conducted at MA Muhammadiyah Salaka District. Takalar which is first carried out in the analysis phase to find out the circumstances, needs and constraints that occur and are experienced by students and teachers in the learning process. Based on the results of preliminary observations, during the practical activities the teacher only uses the existing textbooks and worksheets and is available on the market as well as internet sources as a practical guide. So that from the results of observations and interviews (Need Assessment) special teaching materials are needed in the form of practical guide books by emphasizing science process skills (KPS) which can be used by MA Muhammadiyah Salaka students to actively involve themselves in learning activities and find or apply their own ideas the idea. Some studies reveal that learning using science process skills based practical guidance teaching materials is categorized as good and has a positive impact. Based on the research results of Prasetyo (2016), it was concluded that the use of biology practicum teaching materials based on science process skills can make students make it easier to understand the concept and provide real experience as a provision to acquire new knowledge. In the study of Zulaiha et al (2014) using practical guidance based on science process skills has a potential effect on student learning outcomes. Based on the results of these studies it can be concluded that by developing teaching materials in the form of science process skills based practical guides that can be valid, practical and effective can help students in understanding real objects, the ability to discover and develop their own concepts and skills and emotion.
