Abstract


Abstrack: produce a Local Potential Based Encyclopedia as a learning resource that has specifications and is valid,  practical and effective. This research is research and development (Research & Development / R & D), which adapts the 4D model which consists of 4 stages, namely: (1) Definition (Define) (2) Design ( Design ) (3) Development  (Development)  (4)  Spread  (Dissemination). Data collection used questionnaire validation to see the validity of encyclopedia based on local potential, teacher response questionnaire and student responses to see the practicality of the encyclopedia based on local potential, and test the learning outcomes to see the effectiveness of the encyclopedia based on local potential. Data obtained from the results of the study were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that the average value of the total validity of the encyclopedia based on local potential as a whole was in the category of valid 4.39, analysis of data practicality with the average total teacher response 4.71 with a percentage of 94.3% (very positive), average the total response of students was 4.3 with a percentage of 89.41% (very positive). Encyclopedia based on local potential has fulfilled the effectiveness criteria, namely 35 students passed according to the criteria, ie 8 3.7 % passed the criteria for being.
